If your family had made this a holiday tradition like ours, this year you’re out of luck. I went on their Web site to check this year’s dates and all it says is they’re closed this season. So … we’re going to have to find somewhere else to go. A couple of years ago we went to see the lights at Oglebay and we might do that again. We were lucky that time … we got there early and went to their zoo (free with Akron Zoo membership). By the time the zoo closed and we took in a laser show, we were able to get right in line in the park with the other cars — and we didn’t have to wait for hours and hours like other people (when we left, cars were backed up onto the freeway, which is miles from the park entrance). I’m going to do a bit more research about other places that might be closer, though …
