with a new fashion accessory! Okay, it’s not really a fashion accessory. It’s a post-op shoe I got from urgent care. Friday morning I turned my right foot and fell down steps. (Somehow I stifled my screams because I didn’t want to wake the rest of my family but oh, man, did that HURT!!!). My foot was all swollen, disfigured and blue. I was worried about whether or not I could drive, so I went to urgent care yesterday morning for a diagnosis and treatment plan. The doctor looked at it and immediately assumed it was broken because of how blue it was. But three X-rays proved it was just a foot strain (not sprain). Yeah!! So I got this shoe and the okay to drive and I was on my merry way. (Although I’m not sure how one walks in snow with this on.) Anyhoo, do you know how happy I am that my driving foot is not broken? Very, very, VERY happy. Funny how a foot strain is good news when you consider the alternative!
Maybe you shouldn’t drive anyway. Can you stop on the brake without sliding off?Did you trip over clutter?Things to think about.
Wow, you sound just like mom when I told her about it (“Did you trip over the clutter on your stairs?”). It wasn’t the clutter that made me fall; it was dark and my hands were full with bags of stuff to recycle and I got off balance. But thanks for asking.
I’m so glad it’s not broken and that you can still drive! (^_^) I’m glad you got it checked out, too!
Ha Ha! I knew you would like my comment.
Hope following the new regimen is helping.
