The good thing about the foreign films available at the library is that the bad ones are typically pretty well weeded out. But I was disappointed by the highly-rated French film I was watching the other day when I was trying to recup from strep. It was called “Shall we kiss?” and it involved two couples (the woman from the first couple tells a story in flashback about the second couple). The second couple really irritated me, especially since the woman in that relationship was cheating on her husband. I’ve blogged before that I can’t root for people who cheat on their spouses. Even worse, the man and woman in the second couple were just stupid. Although I was curious about what happened to the first couple at the end of the movie, I had to turn the movie off because I couldn’t stand watching the second couple anymore. Blech!
